Sunday: I woke up with every intention to go to church. However, when I got Kate Rivers up, she was running a low grade fever. Therefore, we thought it would be best for Kate Rivers and I to stay home. We just hung out at home that morning. When Keith got done at church, he went to the Country Club to get us some take-out lunch. When he got home, we ate....it was so yummy! After lunch, we put the girls down for naps. I made my weekly grocery run while the girls were sleeping. It looked like it was about to pour any minute, and I was praying I could make it in and out of the grocery store before the bottom fell out. I did rain on me on the way back to my car, but it wasn't terrible! I stopped by Sonic on the way home to get a drink. I got home and unloaded the groceries and put them away. I then played on the computer for a little bit while the girls were still down for naps. They got up and we played for a little bit. At around 5, Ava and Keith went back to church. Kate Rivers seemed to be doing better, but we wanted to be safe so we kept her home. I cooked dinner, and Kate Rivers and I went ahead and ate. After we ate, I gave her a bath. I then let her play until Keith and Ava got home. Once they got home, Keith gave Ava a bath, and then she ate dinner. Keith put KR to bed while Ava was eating. After Ava finished eating, I dried her hair and then put her to bed. I then got the girls clothes laid out for the week. After that, I was just lazy for the rest of the evening. We went to bed fairly early.
Monday: I actually did really good about getting up early! We had to drive real slow to school because it was POURING, but we made it with a little time to spare. The day at school was really good. I felt like I got lots accomplished with my students. After school, I had to run to a costume store to fine an old lady wig (Friday is the 100th day of school, and the teacher's are dressing like old ladies). I got my wig and headed to pick the girls up. They had a really good day! Again, we had to drive really slow on the way home because it was still pouring down rain. We got home, and Keith gave them baths before he had to be back to church for men's club. The girls and I ate dinner and hung out while Keith was gone. I put them in bed and watched some tv. Keith and I just visited before going to bed.
Tuesday: This was another cold, rainy day. We got up and got ready for school. We all had good days. After school, I picked the girls up at my mother-in-law's. Ava usually has dance on Tuesdays, but it was cold and rainy. Keith also had a meeting that night at 6, so I would have to take both girls to dance and come home to a dark house to get dinner ready, baths, and put them to bed. Therefore, we decided to just skip dance that night. We came home and relaxed. Keith was able to help me give them baths before he left for his meeting, so we had a really good, relaxing night. Keith got home a little after 8. We visited for a little bit and went to bed fairly early.
Wednesday: Again, we got up and got ready to go to school. School was fine. After school, we came home and got ready for church. We went to church and the dinner after. We all came home, and we gave the girls baths. We put them to bed shortly after their baths. We then watched the weather, because our area was expecting snow. I went to bed really early, but another teacher friend from school texted me about an hour after I dozed off wanting to know if I had heard anything yet about whether or not we were having school. I called her and talked to her a minute. Then I watched the weather. I never heard anything about school, so I went back to bed.
Thursday: I woke up at my usual time and immediately checked twitter and Facebook to see if there was any information about school closures. It seemed that everyone around my district was closed, but I still didn't see anything about Scott County. My assistant texted me about that time and told me that we were having school. I felt like she had accurate information because her husband works for the sheriff's department, but I still didn't have an official word. I laid in bed as long as a possibly could before getting in the shower. After I got out of the shower, I told Keith to go ahead and get the girls up because it looked like we were going to have school. About the time he got them up and dressed and started on breakfast, I got word that we were NOT having school......ughhhh. They didn't want to go back to bed, so after we all got ready, we went out in the snow and played for a bit. We then came in, and I let them play around the house during the morning. We then had lunch, and I put them down for their afternoon naps. They both took really long naps! After Keith got home, we decided to go to Jackson since the snow had melted. Keith had to make a hospital visit. The girls and I just waited in the car while he ran into the hospital. After that, I needed to run to Old Navy. I ran in, but I didn't find what I was looking for. We then stopped and got a bite to eat before heading home. After we got home, we gave the girls baths and put them in bed. We went to bed not too long after.
Friday: We got up and got ready to go to school. It felt weird going to school after being out Thursday, but we made it! We celebrated the 100th day, so that was a lot of fun. The girls went to my mother-in-law's for the day...she is taking off every Friday from the preschool from now on. After I picked them up, we headed to Jackson. I met Keith with the girls. He took them home so I could get some shopping done. I came home after I finished shopping. We went to bed pretty early.
Saturday: This was a very lazy day. We did absolutely nothing! We stayed home all day and just rested and relaxed!

Goals, Hopes, and Dreams for 2013
I've been meaning to write this post for a couple of weeks now, but I am just now finding the time to sit down and write it!
I love the beginning of a new year. It is a chance for new beginnings and a time when people stop and examine what they want to differently or what they hope to accomplish. I know and realize that we can do this anytime...not just a the beginning of a new year, but I love reading everyone resolutions, goals, etc...of the new year!
Soooo......here are a few things I would like to accomplish this year in no particular order!
Goals for my Family:
*Make a point to spend more time with my girls in general...I think I do a pretty good job at spending time with them now, but I want to make a point to use my time wisely with them.
*Have more patience--this one speaks for itself.
*4 overnight trips as a family.
*Date Night--1-2 times a month.
*2-3 overnight trips as a couple.
*Eat dinner at the table.
*Come up with a good cleaning schedule that agrees with our busy life.
*Do something special as a family for both of the girls' birthdays.
For My Job:
*Try to get there EARLY-haha, I have been so bad about getting there right on time or 5 or so minutes late... I really want to try to be early (as in be there by 7:20 at the very latest). I know...I already had a day last week where I was running behind, but I am REALLY trying!
* Do not bring work home--I am actually pretty good about this. Occasionally, I have stuff to do at home, but it's never a lot, and it doesn't take me long. I just want to continue to do this. I know that there will be times that I will have to bring stuff home, but I really want to keep this to a minimum.
*Have more patience with my students and ALWAYS remember to treat them how I would want my own children treated.
*Plan out at least a week in advance...Again, I am pretty good at this now. I just want to continue to do this.
*Do a craft with my students at least once every two weeks, but shoot for once a week.
For Me:
*Have a daily quiet time.
*Come up with a fitness schedule and stick with it. (I would like to join the gym at some point this year).
*Manage my time better.
A Few of our Plans for 2013:
January--We really don't have too much planned this month. We are just going to take it easy and focus on the new year and getting back into routine. Christmas is always sooo busy for us (the life of a preacher's family) :) We just like taking it easy in January!
February: We really don't have a whole lot going on this month either. We will probably go to the Dixie National Rodeo at some point. We will also go visit my parents. My dad and sister both have birthdays this month. I would love to go to an Ole Miss basketball game....maybe it'll happen! :) We will also register Ava for Kindergarten at some point this month...Can't believe she will be in Kindergarten. I don't know where the time has gone.
March: We have Spring Break the second week of this month. Right now we don't have any plans. As far as I know, we are staying home, and I am perfectly fine with that. I look forward to the extra time with my girls. Easter is also at the end of this month, so I am sure we will be busy preparing for Easter!
April: My birthday is this month! I know that Keith and are planning to go out of town at some point. We may go this month or we may wait until late summer. We haven't decided yet, but we are thinking about going somewhere for a few days. We shall see.
May: This is Ava's birthday month. We will probably have her party at some point this month. This is also the last month of school. The week after school gets out, we are going to Disney World. It's going to be a busy, FUN month!
June: This is the first month of summer. We have Annual Conference for the Methodist Church this month. We are also probably going with the youth to Lake Junaluska. At the end of the month, the girls and I are going with my mom, sister, and her kids to the beach for a few days!
July: We will probably have VBS this month. We will also spend a lot of time at the pool swimming! If Keith and do not go anywhere in April, we will go somewhere this month. I will probably start getting back in my classroom towards the end of the month, but I really hope to have it all done within a couple of days.
August: School will start back at some point this month. We will be busy trying to get back in routine with the beginning of school. Ava starts Kindergarten, which is a huge milestone. She will be at the same school I am at. I am soooo excited about that! Kate Rivers' birthday is at the end of the month, so we will have her birthday party at some point this month.
September: More school.....I also hope to go to an Ole Miss football game and a few high school football games this month.
October, November, and December will be filled with more football games and fun holiday things! :)
Whoa, this was a long post, but I like putting everything out there! Hopefully, I can check my list at the end of the year, and I will have met all of my goals! I sure hope so!
Happy 2013 Everyone! :)

Our Week: January 6- January 12, 2013
This past week was ROUGH. I forget how hard it is to get back into schedule after being out of school for two weeks. My days at school were fine...it was just getting back into routine that about killed me. I was soooo tired by the end of the week. Hopefully this coming week will go smoother, and we will feel like we are back into a good routine.
Sunday: This was the day before we went back to school, so I tried to get back into routine as much as possible. We got up that morning and went to church. After church, we went to eat at the Mexican restaurant. After we came home, we put the girls down for naps and I made my weekly grocery run. We went to church that night. We came home and all went to bed fairly early.
Monday: This was our first day back to work. I kind of felt like I do at the beginning of the year as far as nerves. I got to school early and prepared for the day. We had a pretty good day at school. I thought the kids would come in really quiet after the break, but they were chatty and ready to go. After school, we came home and relaxed the rest of the day. We did watch the National Championship which was a lot of fun. However, I went to bed at about halftime.
Tuesday: Got up early again for another day. It was only Tuesday, and I was already exhausted. We had a pretty good day at school. After school, the girls and I came home, and I got Ava ready for her first day back at dance since before Christmas. She had fun at dance! We came home afterward and ate dinner. After dinner, we gave the girls baths and put them to bed. I ended up staying up too late watching tv.
Wednesday: I woke up a little later than I intended to this day, but not too bad. We got ready and went to school. We had a good day at school. After school, we came home and got ready for church. I was starting to get a really bad headache, but I had to press on. Church was good. We came home after dinner. We gave the girls baths and got them to bed. We went to bed not long after them.
Thursday: This was just a really bad morning. I felt like we had the hardest time getting out of the door. Something kept coming up! I was going to swing by McDonald's to get a LARGE cup of coffee and realized that I had left my wallet at school the previous day. Keith offered to meet me over at McDonald's and bring me some money, but I didn't have time to wait on him because I was already running behind. We made it to school, and I was just soooo tired. I was frustrated because it was a bad morning and it was a rainy day (which hardly ever makes it better). My principal came in right before breakfast and told me that library was cancelled for the day, so we were not even going to have a break the entire day. We made it through though! We came home and just relaxed the rest of the afternoon and evening. We gave the girls baths and put them to bed pretty early. We went to bed early too.
Friday: Since Keith is off on Fridays, the girls stayed home with him. It was just me going to school that morning. Since I didn't have to take them to school, I could just go straight to my school. We had a good day at school. We had reading groups that morning, and did a cute snowman craft that afternoon. After school, I stayed around for a bit talking to a couple of friends. After school, I met the girls and Keith and we headed off to Jackson. We were going to eat at Sal and Mookies because I had been craving it all week, but it looked too crowded. We ended up going to Cracker Barrel instead. We had a really good dinner. After dinner, we went to PetSmart and headed home. We all went to bed after we got home.
Saturday: This was such a good, lazy day! Keith let me sleep in..I slept until about 9:30, then got up and got ready for the day. We literally did nothing the rest of the day. We just hung out at home all day. It was JUST what we needed! :)

Our Week: December 30-January 5 (Happy New Year and Hotty Toddy!)
We had a really good week last week. It was busy, but so much fun!
Sunday: We got up and all got ready for church. Keith usually goes before me and takes the girls on to Sunday School. He texted me about 10 minutes after they got to church that the nursery worker was there....It ended up that she was sick, so I had him bring the girls home and we just hung out until Keith got done with church. We were going to go eat Mexican after church, but there were so many cars and it looked packed. We opted for Pizza Hut instead. It was good and nice to have something different. We came home and just had a lazy day.
Monday: This was New Years Eve. Keith worked this day, so the girls and I just stayed home. We enjoyed our day at home....this was like our only day at home over the break. After Keith got home, we drove to Brandon to meet his brother, sister-in-law, and their little boy for dinner at a b-b-q place. It was really good and not that crowded. After dinner, we went over to their house for a while and hung out. We came home and went to bed....we did not make it until midnight--We are getting old.
Tuesday: Happy New Year! The girls and I got up, got ready, and headed up to my parents' house for a few days. We left Keith at home because he had to work the rest of the week. We got there around lunch. My mom cooked a wonderful lunch, and we at too much. After lunch, we went to the movies with my sister and her 2 kids. After the movie, we went to a yummy frozen yogurt place.
Wednesday: My dad takes my sister and I shopping every year right before Christmas. Since we didn't get out of school until December 21, we had to wait until after Christmas to go. This was the day we picked for our annual shopping trip! We had a great day! We started the day off at Target. Then we went to Michael's. After we got done at those two places, it was time for lunch. We always go to Red Lobster, so of course we had to keep with tradition! After a delicious lunch, we went to the mall and stopped a few places there. We headed on back to my parents' house after that. We got home early afternoon, so my mom, sister, her two kids, and my two kids all went to Oxford. My mom saw a chair she wanted to buy and of course we had to stop for ice cream. We also went to this really nice antique store they have in Oxford. So fun. My dad was filling in for the preacher at church that night, so we had to make it back in time for church. He did a WONDERFUL job as always! After we got back to my parents' house, it was getting close to bedtime!
Thursday: We were planning on leaving this day to go home. However, we went to breakfast with my best friend from home and her little boy and also her mom. After breakfast, we hit the road and headed on home. That night, I went to Jackson to eat dinner with a really good friend who I used to teach with in Brandon. We had a great dinner as always! :) After that, my friend and I went to Target, and then I came home and went to bed.
Friday: Keith and I were going to Birmingham that weekend to the Ole Miss bowl game. We took the girls to his mom that morning and planned on hitting the road to get to Birmingham early. However, Keith had to run by the hospital in Jackson to make a pastoral care visit. After that, we were on our way! We got to Birmingham mid afternoon and checked into our hotel room. We decided to go to dinner at 5. We went to eat at Outback Steakhouse, and it was wonderful. After dinner, we went to the movies. We went to see Les Mis. I usually don't cry during movies, but I just couldn't control myself during this one. There is so much for to Les Mis other than being a musical. It has a REALLY good and deep message. It is definitely a movie that the I want to own!
Saturday: This was game day! We got up and got ready and headed on to the stadium. The game was so much fun (besides being cold), and I am so glad we won! We actually left 3rd quarter and headed on home. We were so glad to see the girls, and I think they were really glad to see us too. We came home and went to bed fairly early.
Sunday: This was the day before school started back. I tried to get back into routine this day. We went to church that morning and then went to lunch at the Mexican restaurant. After lunch, we came home and put the girls down for naps. I went to the grocery store while they were napping. We went to church that night and went to bed fairly early.

2012 Year in Review
January
This was a pretty slow and boring month. We just settled back into the routine of school and work after the excitement of Christmas.
February
Another slow month. My mom and niece did come in the middle of the month, and we had fun shopping and spending the weekend with them.
March
This was a fun month. The weather was getting warmer, and we really enjoyed it. We had Spring Break this month. We just relaxed that week and hung out with friends and family! My niece also had her birthday party this month at the skating rink. The girls had a great time at that.
April
This was my birthday month! :) We also found out this month that we would be moving to Carthage. We were so glad to be in a small town, yet close to Jackson. I was also excited that I would be able to keep my job teaching first grade!
May
May was SUCH a bittersweet month. It was one of the saddest months of my life, yet we had so many happy and fun things.
Ava turned four and we had her birthday party at the beginning of the month. We had so much fun. The Wednesday after her party we lost a family member in a very tragic way. It was very sad, but we have been strong and have made it by leaning on and trusting God.
School let out this month too....yay! : ) I love my job, but I always welcome a break. The week after school let out, we went to Branson for a week. The kids had a GREAT time, and so did we! :) It was nice to just have a week away with our little family! We made great memories.
June
This was another fun and busy month.
We had VBS at our church the second week this month. We had so much fun, but it was kind of sad because this was our last week at that church. Our former church did such a great job with VBS, and I will really miss that this year.
We moved the next week. Whew....moving is hard. We were worn out and vow not to do it again for a VERY, VERY long time! :) We are very content with where we are.
The week after we moved, my mom, sister, niece, nephew, Ava, and Kate Rivers all went to the beach for a few days. It was SUCH a fun trip, and I hope we can do it again this coming summer.
July
Overall, July was pretty slow. That was good, though, since May and June were packed. We just hung out at home a lot, went swimming, and got accustomed to our new town.
Our new church had their VBS this month, and that was a lot of fun. It also helped us in meeting a lot of people in the church.
At the end of this month, I spent a good bit of time in my classroom getting it ready for the new year. I always love getting my classroom ready for the beginning of the year.
August
School started back this week. It is always so busy the first month of school, but we made it!
Kate Rivers turned TWO at the end of this month, so we had her little birthday party. It was really fun because it was at our new house so our families all got to see the house!
September
We went to a lot of football games this month! We are football people, and we love going to games. We went to an Ole Miss game and several high school games.
October
We spent a good amount of time this month also going to football games! We also had Fall Break at school, so it was nice to get a few days off!
Halloween was at the end of the month, and the girls had so much fun dressing up in their costumes!
November
This month flew! We went to more football games....surprise, surprise :)
We also had Thanksgiving Break this week. We spent the first part of the week at home. We then celebrated with our families. That Friday, we went to Birmingham to ride The North Pole Express...SUCH a fun little overnight trip!
December
Decembers are always super busy. We just did the normal pre Christmas stuff. :) We also celebrated Christmas with families!
Overall, 2012 was a pretty good year. We had a couple of downs, but mostly ups!
I have lots of hopes and goals for 2013 that I can't wait to share with you. I will get that post up by the end of the week/weekend.
Happy New Year!
This was a pretty slow and boring month. We just settled back into the routine of school and work after the excitement of Christmas.

Our Week: December 23-29, 2012 (Merry Christmas! )
I know....another boring weekly post. I am really going to try to do better about posting throughout the week! In fact, I am planning a year in review post coming up this week. I also need to do better about putting pictures on here....nobody likes to read a blog with NO pictures...ha!
Last week was kind of weird. I got sick....AGAIN. Therefore, we missed our yearly shopping trip the day after Christmas with my mom...so sad.
Sunday:
We got up and got ready for church. Church was really good. I love going to church especially right around Christmas. After church, we went to lunch. We were going to try to eat at the country club, but it was closed :(. We just ended up picking up something quick, because we had to run to Jackson anyway. Keith had to go to Jackson to visit someone in the hospital. After Jackson, we went straight to Keith's parents' house for our first Christmas. We had such a good time. The kids loved playing with all of their gifts. After that, we came home. After we got home, we got the kids ready for bed. We went to bed not long after.
Monday (Christmas Eve):
We got up that morning and got ready because we had another Christmas at Keith's parents' house...this time with his mom's extended family. We had a really good time again. We had to leave about 3 so we could get home. Our church does come and go communion from 5-6, and of course Keith had to be here for that. Once he got home, we went to find something to eat....we have always had the tradition of picking up Wendy's every Christmas Eve. However, our Wendy's was not open. :( We had to settle for McDonald's instead...haha. Once we got home an ate, the girls and I made cookies for Santa. After that, we got the girls in bed. The surprisingly went to sleep quickly and easily! Once we knew that they were good and asleep, we set out all of their Christmas presents. We went to bed shortly after. However, someone in the neighborhood thought it would be a great idea to shoot fireworks (BIG fireworks) at midnight. It lasted a while, so that kind of kept us up. Luckily, the girls didn't wake up!
Tuesday (Merry Christmas!) and Wednesday:
The girls got up at about 7:30 to see what all they got for Christmas. They had a great time playing with all of their gifts. After we had eaten breakfast, played, and got ready, it was time to go to my parents' house for a few days! It was SO rainy this day, and it was a very hard drive to my parents' house, but we made it! Once we got their, we ate lunch...so good! After lunch, we opened gifts and just hung out and had family time the rest of the day. Keith was originally going to stay until Wednesday, but the forecast was showing snow overnight, so he went on home. He left about 9. Once he called to let me know he had made it home, we went to bed. About 30 minutes later, I started feeling SO sick to my stomach. I ended up with a stomach bug. Luckily it only lasted 12 hours. Kate Rivers also got it. My parents were wonderful! My dad went to town three times. He got me gatorade. I had sent him to get pedialyte for KR, but he kept getting the wrong thing....ha! We were supposed to go shopping with my mom, sister, niece, and nephew this day, but obviously we didn't get to go. I just laid around all day, and we went to bed early.
Thursday:
I woke up feeling much better, and Kate Rivers was better too. We left my parents at about 10:30 to head home. We were going swing through Madison on the way home because we really wanted Chick-fil-a. However, my mom called me at about Canton, and I had left my hair dryer and flat iron at home. I HAVE to have those two things, so I was going to have to turn around and meet her halfway in Winona to get it. However, since we were SO close to Madison, I was going to get my Chick-fil-a by darn! We did get our Chick-fil-a, then we headed back north....We met my mom at Winona. I got my stuff and we started back home. I don't remember what time it was by the time we got home, but it was sometime that afternoon. We just hung out that night at home and went to bed early.
Friday:
We were having our dog spayed this day. She had to be at the vet at 8:30. The vet is about 15 minutes from Morton, so we decided to take the girls to spend the day with their Nana (Keith's mom) while we had a day in Jackson. We dropped them off. Then we took the dog by the vet. After that, we headed over to Jackson. It was soooo cold and rainy this day....pretty miserable. After we got to Jackson, I had to run by Office Depot to pick some things up for school, but they didn't have what I was looking for. We ended up going to the teacher store in Ridgeland, and I got a good bit of stuff. After that, we went to lunch at O'Charley's. After lunch, we went to the movie. Then after that, we headed back to Morton to pick up the girls. They had a fun day, and Keith and I also enjoyed our day. We were going to head on back to Carthage, but Keith's brother called while we were at his parents' house wanting to know if we all wanted to meet them for dinner at a steak house in the next town over. We LOVE to eat out, so of course we said we would! We killed some time before dinner. We had a really nice dinner, and then we headed home. We went to bed not long after we got home.
Saturday:
We had our last Christmas this day. We also had to pick up the dog at the vet. We got up and got ready. We then went to pick up the dog. We were sooo glad to see her, and I think she was glad to see us too! We dropped her off at Keith's parents' house and headed to place where we were having the reunion/Christmas. We had a nice time and enjoyed visiting with family! We came home after and just relaxed at home the rest of the evening. It was so nice to be home after being away the past week or so.
This next week is looking really busy too! It's my last week off school, and it filled up fast! The girls and I are going to my parents' house Tuesday-Thursday. Then, Keith and I are going to Birmingham Friday and Saturday to watch Ole Miss play in the bowl game! :)

Our Week: December 16-22, 2012
So, I didn't do a weekly post last week. I ended up sick with a really bad sinus infection and school was wrapping up...I just got too busy and never got a chance to post.
Sunday: We got up and got everyone but me ready for church. I didn't go because I was starting to get sick and just didn't feel well. After everyone got home from church, we ate lunch and the girls had rest time. After rest time, they got up and played for a while. Keith had a thing at the church that evening. We just hung out while he was gone. We all went to bed early because of school and the fact I still wasn't feeling great.
Monday: We got up and got ready for school. I dropped the girls off at their school and headed to my school. The whole first grade was going to the nursing home to sing for the residents that morning, so we got ready for that. After we got back from the nursing home, it was lunch time. After lunch, we just made crafts the rest of the day and got ready for our party which was the next day. After school, I picked up the girls and we came home and relaxed. I tried to rest as much as I could because I just was still not well. We went to bed early.
Tuesday: This was a HUGE day at school for both me. We had our big Christmas party that morning at 10. After the party, the kids could get checked out and go home for the day. I didn't think I would make past lunch that day because I felt absolutely HORRIBLE. The party went really well and most of the kids went home. I decided just to stay and tough it out. We didn't do much the rest of the day with the kids that did stay. I left as soon as school was out. Keith met me at home, and I went straight to bed, and he had kid duty. He took the girls to a Sunday School Christmas party that night while I stayed in bed. I took my temp and I had fever, so I texted my assistant principal to let her know that I would be out the next day. It wasn't a huge deal because we didn't have kids the rest of the week since it was exams. I went to sleep early.
Wednesday: I got up and sent the girls off to school (Keith took them). I then got ready as much as I could and went to the doctor. I ended up with a really bad sinus infection. I got a z pack and something else. I immediately started my medicine and rested the rest of the day. A few weeks ago, the choir director had offered to keep our girls so we could have a night out. We were going to call and cancel, but she had SO many fun activities planned with them that we decided to take them anyway. I was feeling a tad bit better, so we drove to Jackson for dinner. I felt bad again by the end of the night, but it was nice to get out for a little bit. We got home and picked up the girls. We brought them home and put them to bed.
Thursday: I decided to go back to school this day. As I said, we had no kids so I was able to get a good bit done in the classroom. The first grade teachers also had our Christmas party so that was a lot of fun. After school, I picked up the girls, and we came home. When we got home, we decided to ride with Keith to a funeral visitation in Canton. After that, we went and picked up some dinner in Madison. I got Chick-fil-a, but I just couldn't eat bc I had NO appetite after being sick....so sad bc I usually LOVE Chick-fil-a. We came home and put the girls to bed and then went to bed.
Friday: This was the last day of school before Christmas Break...yay!!! The girls stayed home, but I got up and got ready for school. We were having our faculty breakfast that morning which is usually soooo good (breakfast casserole, grits, fruits, biscuits, hame, bacon, etc....). First, I got stopped by train so I was running behind. Then, when I got there and it was time to eat, I still had no appetite, so I didn't eat much. :( After breakfast, I went back to my room and wrapped up some stuff. We got to leave a 11...yay! After school, I went to Jackson to finish up a little Christmas shopping. Dogwood was CU-Razy, but I made out alive! :) That night we just relaxed.
Saturday: This was a fun day...I was finally feeling better, and we had several things planned. My mom came down for the night. When she got here, we ran to Dollar Tree and Wal Mart to get a few things. After that we came back to the house. Keith, the girls, my mom, and I all went to Canton that night to the Christmas lights. We had so much fun. The weather was perfect (not too cold). The girls loved it! They loved the lights. We also rode the carousel, and the horse drawn buggies. After we left, we went to eat a McAlister's. After we got back to Carthage, we still weren't really ready to go home, so we spent about an hour riding around Carthage looking at Christmas lights. It was the perfect Christmas evening. We came home and put the girls in bed. We went to bed not long after them.
I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. I can't believe we are already to Christmas Eve. This season has flown for me! :)
