Busy Weekend

We had a REALLY busy weekend! Thursday, Ava and I went to spend the night with Keith's parents in Morton because Keith was in Tupelo for a meeting. We woke up Friday and headed to my sister's house in Pope. She moved this past weekend, so we had lots of last minute packing to do when we got to her house. Keith met us there a little after lunch and helped pack up boxes! We ordered pizza that night, and then headed to my parents' house to spend the night (they are currently in Montana, but they still have their house here). Saturday morning, we woke up very early and got to moving! That took pretty much all day, but it was fun! Ava and I stayed at my sister's new house Saturday night. We got up Sunday, and helped her finish unpacking. Her husband had to go into work, so it was just me, her, and the kids. We actually got a lot done! My mom was flying home Sunday evening, so my sister and I had to go pick her up at about 7:30. Ava and I stayed at my mom's house again Sunday and then finally came home Monday!

It was CRAZY busy, but fun! It really is a work-out to pack and unpack all of my stuff plus all of Ava's baby stuff everday four days in a row! I was soooo tired by the time I got back to Brandon because I slept in a different bed each night, and I was just so ready for my own bed!

Lara's new house is beautiful, and I wish I had thought to take some pictures! They are going to be so happy there. They deserve it. They have waited a long time for this. Anna Katherine (Lara's 5 year old daughter) got a tea set for Christmas. They told her she could not open it until they moved. She was sooooo excited to open it Sunday, and we just HAD to have a tea party complete with orange juice and dibs!! She had the best time serving my sister and me, and it was one of the cutest things ever!!!

I'm sorry for the pointless post, but I just post about what a busy, tiring, yet fun weekend we had! I am actually going back Thursday and staying until Saturday. However, this time we will be staying in only one house-my mom's! Yay!

Proud Daughter

I am so proud to have the parents I have. They have been teaching at an Indian Reservation for the past two years in Montana. My mom is actually not teaching this year (she is spending time here in Mississippi and also some time in Montana). However, my dad agreed to go back for another year to be the principal. I am just so proud of how much they care for those children and want the best for them. A lot of the children have MANY hardships and are not always easy to work with, yet they love them anyway.

The boys' basketball team has never been that great. However, this year they are doing really well. They played in the district championship last week and did well enough to advance to the next level in the next few weeks. Since they won, they really wanted to stay another night in the hotel they were in, so my dad gave them $200 dollars out of his pocket. I thought that was the sweetest thing ever! I know that he has made the biggest difference in their lives even though he may not be able to see it sometimes! I am sure he has touched people in ways that he is not even aware of. I am just in awe of how God is using my dad and mom, and I am SO proud of them!

Recent Movies I Have Seen

This was a VERY good movie! It reminded me a lot of Forrest Gump. I will admit that it was a little sad and depressing, but overall it was a great movie! I am glad that I went to see it!

This movie was not at all what I thought it would be. I thought it would be "cute"--However, I was really bored throughout the movie. It was very slow (in my opinion). It wasn't awful, but I should have waited until it came out on dvd.

I went to see this movie with some friends today, and it was absolutely adorable!!! It was very silly and kind of predictable, but I like movies like that! It definately had its funny moments, and Isla Fisher was just precious. I will surely watch this one again when it comes out on dvd (might even buy it)!

This was surprisingly my favorite movie that I have seen lately. I honestly wasn't expecting much out of it, but it was GREAT! It was kind of a long movie, but it really kept my attention the whole time!!! I loved all of the people who were in it, and they did a great job as the characters they were playing. I made Keith go with me, and he said, "It was alright for a girl movie," which means he liked it-haha! I will most definately buy this one when comes out!! It has been added as one of my favorites!

Anyway, as you can see, I have actually gone to quite a few movies lately. Before we went to see Benjamin Button, I had not been to a movie since last March (Ava has been keeping us so busy)! It's been nice to get out and see some movies lately.

9 Months Old

Ava turned 9 months old yesterday. I know I say this every month, but I seriously don't know where the time has gone. She is so much fun right now--full of personality!

-She still has only two teeth, but I think more are coming soon. She still drools all the time! We go through a quite a few bibs a day.

-She is ALMOST crawling. She is definately scooting a lot. I think she will be crawling in the next few weeks which means I need to babyproof this house soon.

-She sill babbles all the time. She says "dada" a lot, but I don't know whether or not she knows what she is saying! :)

-Her hair gets longer by the day!

-She is going through a stage right now where she is very attached to Keith and me. She gets upset when we leave her with other people. It's just a stage right????

-Still sleeping through the night! She is going to bed earlier and waking up earlier, though (bedtime-8ish wakeup time-7ish). She takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap.

-We have definately gotten into a schedule, and it has been really nice! :)

-She loves her "puffs" and can feed herself!

-Table food she has tried: butterbeans, baked potato, and mac-n-cheese. I think she liked the butterbeans okay, but she was not a fan of the baked potato (I guess it was the texture?)

I can't wait to see what fun things she does this coming month! :)

Such A Beautiful Day!

It is such a pretty day outside! I think we are going to take Ava to the park this afternoon since it's so nice. The weekend is also supposed to be nice, so that is exciting. I am so not a winter person, and I am ready for Spring to be here! It's just around the corner. Spring has been my favorite season for as long as I can remember. I love it because of the flowers, and I know that Summer will soon be here! A lot of people like Fall, but I have never been a big fan because I know Winter is coming. The only thing I like about Winter is Christmas--then I am ready for it to warm up again! Anyway, enough rambling for today! :)

Opinions Please

Okay, so I have had my eye on this dress for weeks. I love it, but I have a problem. I don't know what kind of shoes to wear with it....?? It looks black, but it's actually navy. What kind of shoes would you wear with this dress? Thanks in advance for any opinions! Have a great night!
