Catching Up

I have been so bad about this whole blogging thing, but I am trying to do better! Not much has been going on with us. I have been sick the past few days. I went to the doctor yesterday to get an antibiotic. They took blood and stuck me THREE times! This was so traumatic for me because I HATE needles! haha I am starting to feel much better, but I am taking it easy for the next couple of days. I just hope I don't pass it along to Ava.

Speaking of Ava, she is doing fantastic, but she is growing so fast!! It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital and makes me wonder where the time has gone. I will try to post some recent pictures soon.

I will close with 25 random facts about me. I have seen this a lot on facebook recently, but I thought I would do it here, too!

Four Wonderful Years

Wow! I can't believe that Keith and I have been married for four years! The past four years have been great even though we have had ups and downs, and I am so blessed to share this journey with Keith. Our lives have changed so much over the past four years. I thank God for bringing Keith and me together and blessing us with sweet Ava! I pray that we will have many, many more great years together!

These Are A Few Of My Favorite Things

I found this on another blog and thought I would fill it out since I have a few minutes before feeding Ava!

Favorites:

1. Clothes Shop
*Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic, Charlotte Russe, I could keep going but I won't!

2. Furniture Shop:

I love the Great American Home Store in Southaven. We got our whole bedroom and a fabulous chair and a half with an ottoman from there! Not to mention we got REALLY good prices on quality furniture! I really like any furniture store, though. I have a real weakness when it comes to furniture!

3. City

*Boston--We went here when I was in elementary school, and I loved it!

*Kansas City--a really neat place.

*Jackson-haha, never thought I would say that. When we were living in Southaven for the short amount of time we were there, I found myself really missing Jackson. I like it because it has pretty much everything you need, yet it has somewhat of a small feel to it!

4. Sweet

*Love birthday cake! I could eat a whole one by myself. Petit fours are pretty great too!

*Rice Krispy Squares

*Chess Pie, Chocolate Pie.

*Pound Cake

*Cookies

*Okay, I will stop now!!!

5. Drink

*Sweet Tea--enough said

6. Music

*I LOVE music and will listen to pretty much anything. I am really not a huge fan of country, though (unless it's George Strait)

7. TV

*I really don't watch much tv during the day when Keith is not home. However, I love anything on HGTV, Food Network. I have also recently been watching a lot of GSN (Game Show Network). I like any lifetime movie, and I love American Idol. Oh, and I really like The Bachelor too!!!

8. Film

*"Hope Floats" is my all-time favorite. I also like "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days" too. "We Are Marshall" was really sad, but a great movie!

9. Workout

*Step Aerobics are awesome!!!

10. Pastries

*donuts

11. Coffee

*mocha!

Ramblings and Such

Well, we finally got a picture of Ava for the Christmas card! It took a while to get the "perfect" picture, but it was still a lot of fun!

We have the "Keeton Christmas" tonight! That will be a lot of fun!

I can't believe Ava is 7 months old. Where does the time go?? She is doing so many fun things now, and we are enjoying her so so much!

Stuff about Ava:

*Babbling ALL THE TIME! She says all kinds of things--"dadadada" "mamamama" blablablabla" just to name a few.

*Wanting to crawl, but not quite there.

*She loves our dog, Money. She laughs everytime she sees him.

*She is still a fan of the exersaucer!

*She also loves sill on a pallet on the floor to play with toys.

*Her carrier has officially gotten too heavy for me to carry lots of places, so we keep that in the car most of the time.

*Her hair was really red, but it's changing to more a sandy color.

*She is eating fruits and veggies, and she hasn't tried a food yet that she doesnt like.

*Ava has her first tooth, and I am sure it won't be long before she gets more.

Snow in Brandon!

How fun it was to wake up to snow yesterday!!! It snowed pretty hard for a couple of hours before finally turning to sleet. Even though it was freezing outside, I had to get a picture of Ava in her first snow! How fun!!!

In Memory of Camille

We lost Camille 3 years ago Wednesday. She and two of her friends died in a car accident when they were on their way home from the South Panola State Championship game on December 10th, 2005. She was 19 years old and a freshman at Ole Miss. She is still missed terribly every day. Camille would be 22 now. Brett (the other person in the picture above) died just seven months before Camille in a car accident as well. We miss him so much too. I will make a post for him in May. I just thought I would make a list of things about Camille.

*Camille was a freshman at Ole Miss. She had recently pledged Chi Omega. She LOVED Ole Miss!
*Camille was actually on the news a few weeks before her accident. Ole Miss had just been ranked pretty high as one of the biggest party schools. The news came to campus to interview students about this, and of course they found Camille. She told them: "Ole Miss has some great parties, and you just have to know where to find them!" We thought that was cute.
*Camille had the ability to be the biggest tomboy but also the biggest "girly-girl" all at the same time! She was a FANTASTIC fast pitch softball player. Yet, she also won Most Beautiful at her school and was always a homecoming maid.
*One time when Camille was a tiny girl (probably 3 or 4), she was riding home with her mom and dad from Memphis (I think). They were on hwy 51 and got behind a person going really slow. John and Danielle thought Camille was asleep, but they learned otherwise when Camille yells out, "Why don't you just pass his sorry a** Daddy!"
*Christmas was her favorite time of year.
*Camille loved her friends and family and would do anything for them.
*She ALWAYS had a smile her face and was just a very loving girl. She could always make you feel better.

There are many more memories, but I will stop. We all miss you, Camille, but know we will see you again someday!

"When I'm down when my soul's in need of rest
Come your words of comfort and of hope
I see your face always smiling back at me
A stream of light running straight to the heart

Child of God, child of light
There'll be no more lonely nights
Cause you have brightened up my life

There's a road that leads me to this place
A path of love running straight to the heart
Over the years I've learned one important thing
It's that real friends shall never truly be apart
You were there in my darkest time of need
With a hand reaching straight to the heart

Child of God, child of light
There'll be no more lonely nights
Cause you have brightened up my life

Take this gift, it is all I have to give
A prayer of lover forever straight to the heart"---Michael W. Smith
