Christmas 2009

This is my niece, Anna Katherine. She is 6, and I just love her to death! I also have a nephew, but I didn't get a picture with him. :( He is 3, and so much fun!
This is a picture of my dad and me. I was in tears at this point. My mom gave me a sweet photo album with pictures of me growing up. I love it, and I am so glad I have it!
Sweet Ava! She had a great Christmas. She is at such a fun age this year, and we had so much fun with her celebrating Christmas!


We had such a great and busy Christmas! Keith and I got each other a Canon Rebel xsi so maybe I will upload more pictures from now on...here's hoping! :) Of course Ava got tons of stuff too. My sister-in-law is expecting a baby boy in April, and he got tons of cute things too. I forgot how tiny newborn clothes are. It's hard for me to believe that Ava was ever that small.

Keith had to be at both Christmas Eve services at our church that evening. Ava and I didn't go. There was not a nursery, and I was nervous having her out in church...I know--shame on me!

We got up early Christmas morning, and Ava got to see all of her new toys. After that, we ate breakfast and headed to North Mississippi to celebrate with my family. That is where the pictures I uploaded were taken. We had a great time and made many memories.

We are back home now. I have another week off from school (yay!), so we plan on just relaxing this week with not particular schedule. So exciting!!!

As much as I enjoyed Christmas, I am not terribly sad that its over like I normally am. I am REALLY looking forward to the new year! We have so many exciting things that will be happening, and I think it will be a wonderful year! One of my resolutions is that I am going to post on here much more often!! :)

Congrats to my high school on their state championship win last in the SNOW!!! This is our school's eighth title sixth in the last seven seasons. Way to go guys! :)

Still Alive!

Hey Everyone!!!
We have been so busy lately, but we have been having a great time! We are actually leaving in about 15 minutes to see my family in North Mississippi, but I just wanted to check in and let everyone know we are still alive!

We just got back from the beach. We had a GREAT time! I have lots of pictures to share very soon. Ava loved the beach, and we can't wait to take her back!

We had Thanksgiving with Keith's family last night on our way back into town, and it was wonderful. We are about to go have Thanksgiving with my family. I can't wait for all of the delicious food! Tomorrow we will watch Ole Miss play on t.v. before we head back home!!

I am so thankful for all of my blessings this Thanksgiving! I am thankful for a happy, healthy little girl. I am thankful for my husband as well as my family and in-laws! I am also thankful to have a wonderful job and awesome students!!! These are just a few of my many blessings! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! For those of you partaking in the Black Friday shopping, bless you! I LOVE to shop, but I just don't think I could fight the crowd!! I will just wait and get everything full price (and I am cheap!). :)

This is the blog of some friends of Keith's and mine. They found out this past summer they are expecting their 3rd child (a girl!) They recently got some unexpected news about this baby. Just thought I would take a few minutes to blog about what's been going on in our life while Ava finishes up a quick nap!

We have been doing well. School is SO busy right now, but I can't believe it is so close to Thanksgiving. Speaking of Thanksgiving, we are going to Gulf Shores that week. We are super excited, and we think it will be great to get away for a few days! 

I have an observation at school Thursday. I am so nervous!! We have started a new writing curriculum at our school. It's a great "program" but it is very detailed. I have four other teachers from my team in addition to the principal, assistant principal, and instructional specialist coming to watch me...that's 7 people! Hopefully it will go well, though! I will just be glad to get it over with. I have known about it for over a month, and it is torture having to think about it and wait for it. 

Ava is doing great. She is enjoying "school". She is also learning so many new things. She is walking all over the place now, and her vocabulary has increased so much. She is so much fun to watch because she is learning so many new things. She watches Keith and me intently, and she always wants to do what we do. 

We have Fall Fest at the church tonight. I think it will be a lot of fun. Ava is going to be Minnie Mouse for Halloween this year, and her costume is adorable. I still haven't decided if she will wear that tonight or if we will just wait until next week for her to wear her costume. :) I will post pictures from tonight soon!

Well, time to get ready for Fall Fest. I hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!!!
